Attorney Joe Ferreira

Attorney Joe Ferreira brings over 30 years of legal and law enforcement experience to his practice. Since beginning his legal career in 1993, he has represented clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including wrongful death, medical malpractice, personal injury, negligent security, and more. He also defends clients in criminal cases, having expanded his practice following his retirement as Somerset’s Chief of Police in 2014.

More about Joe

​Joe’s journey in public service began in 1985 when he became a full-time police officer. In 2005, he rose to Chief of Police, where he led Somerset’s police department with a focus on community-centered law enforcement. Alongside his law enforcement career, Joe pursued his passion for law, graduating magna cum laude from Southern New England School of Law in 1992. He also served as a Law Clerk to the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court and later as a Special Prosecutor for the Bristol County District Attorney.
